Fresh opendingux install but no idea what to do...
« on: March 22, 2014, 10:38:06 pm »
I just installed opendingux succesfuly and I havr no idea how to install any applications on it. Where do I put the files from the extracted archive? I have a basic understanding of linux but I have no idea where anything goes. For example I wish to install radio player 0.2.1. I extracted it and have no idea where the font file, the.dge file, and the icon file go. Where should I put these files? Thanks in advance.

Now that I have solved my problem I have come across another problem. I have gotten radio player to launch and work but the other applications I installed open and crash. gpSP, snes9x, and snes9x-od are installed to /boot/local/apps/[application name]/.

Is there something I'm overlooking or just bugged software?

the answer you seek is here

http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-releases/gpsp-2011-09-11-for-opendingux/

It has something to do with the built in file selector. you have to edit the link you make to point to your rom directory. Hopefully this helps.

Thank you. Setting a selector directory helped for all my installed emulators.
