Title: Dingoo Tech a330 hang on boot
Post by: bobmac888 on October 28, 2013, 10:17:56 pm
I recently purchased a dingoo a330 that had dingux installed out of the box (select+power boot dingux, the usual deal). However, no matter what zImage and rootfs files I use, dingux, opendingux, or customized a330 64mb dingux, and no matter what dual boot loader i use, it ALWAYS hangs on the "dingux" logo. >:(
The SD card I am using is a 32gb micro with a micro to mini adapter. The card works (tested with native OS), and in fact, this is the same setup (albeit with different cards) that I used on my old a320 back in 2010-11.
I have tried seemingly every possible fix with no avail, and have uninstalled and re-installed the dual boot loader several times. I have also formatted the card with several different formatters, which does nothing as well. :'(

Is there any solution to this? Should I use a smaller card? Is there some sort of different loader that works better?
I don't know if people still care about the dingoo, but any suggestions are appreciated! If there is any information I have left out, feel free to tell me.

Also, yes, I have read the troubleshooting. None of the suggestions worked for me  :'( >:(

I've now tried 3 cards (32, 16, 4gb) and none work (all are recognized by filesystem in native OS though).
Maybe it is just hopeless...

Only thing I can think of is not putting the zimage and rootfs files on the sdcard in the correct order. An important but easy to forget step, especially it's not in "The Idiot's Guide to Dingux".  :P

Sadly, no, it doesn't. :'( I'm trying on a windows 7 64 bit machine, maybe I should use a different one? I guess I'll report back after that.
