Trouble Installing Dingux
« on: March 04, 2012, 02:31:39 am »
Hello everyone hope Saturday has been good to you all.
I've been on youtube.com and watched qbertaddict1 easy tutorial
on how to install Linux. I've disabled the driver signing thing via F8
At reboot. When i right click on JZ47440. I've selected the location
of the dingux kernel. When i go click "next"  I get a Windows was unable
to install your JZ47440 USB Boot Device. So  i don't have a clue whats
blocking this, i watched qbertaddict1 do everything and studied the video
well. And has no problems with it. I build my computer and its a Win64 system
I cant use disable driver signing for some unknown reason. I've got that taken
care of on my old Netbook that's running Windows 7 Starter 32 bit.
Also my LCD Screen is A320WH1261404 If you guys are wondering
And dingoo paw is on the back of the device.

Thanks in advance guys you've been a real big help to me!!! And i thank you all
for that!

EDIT: Forgot to add other information >_<

Hey Dude!! Whats up man!

Yes it's in USB mode don't think my LCD is working but i used your Dual Boot version instead
a downloaded another dingux and it didn't have the drivers, but i have everything setup
Like you had in your video. It's just that when i click then DualBoot_installer
and i cannot select neither of the two LCD Modules because my serial or model number is "A320WH1261404 "
Think thats why i cant install dingux :(

The "A320WH1261404" isn't you LCD module. That's the s/n of your dingoo.
To find out LCD driver, go to system settings -> about and press Up Right Down Up Right Down. There you should see either ILI9331 or ILI9338 or ILI9325. That is your LCD module driver.
Sorry guys for not caring about dingoonity lately. It was nice to be with you, and maybe I'll come back, but not now...

I remember trying to install Dingux for the first time my friend. I had a really difficult time due to the root & z image files that had to be copied to the Dingoo off of Windows. It really is just a matter of copying the root & z image files in the proper order to the Dingoo. Once those are in the proper order & pasted through windows explorer, Dingux should start up automatically on its own.

Then I had a really difficult time getting the emulators up & running, then attaching the games to the emulator as a link, etc. Dingux is definitely tricky trying to get installed also due to the Micro sd card needed. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I will respond very quickly. Hope you get everything installed okay. See ya!
