OpenDingux on... PC ?
« on: October 13, 2013, 03:19:14 am »
Hey

I know my question might sound quite stupid, but is it possible to put OD on a PC ( and use the PC as a console on OD ) ?
I thought about that because OD seems the perfect distro for emulation : fast, open-source, with a big community, fully controllable with buttons, etc.
And I don't really know if there are many distros meeting these requirements.
So is it possible ? If so, how to map a joystick on it ? ( Sorry again if my question is stupid  :-* )

Thanks for answering  ;D

Honestly, why would you consider it better than running Windows or Linux? They both have far better emulators (OD emulators are often based on open source PC emulators), more emulators (PC emulation is ahead of everything else) and most importantly you aren't limited to software made for a basic handheld!

Try Puppy Arcade:

Handhelds:
GPD Win, GPD XD 64gb, RS-97, RS-90, 3DS XL, DSi XL, GBA SP, GBBC Clone, Gameboy Pocket, PSP Go
PC:
Medion Erazer, Toshiba Z20t, Dell Mini 9, Psion 5MX
Tons of other old laptops and tablets.....
