« on: December 15, 2010, 07:55:23 am »
OK I have survised the last year on the Standard Native OS for the A320, but with all the releases going slow for Native I might spend some time over Xmas and convert it to Linux.

I have seen the Wiki pages for it, my question is:

Any tips, pointers, things I need to knoe before i start that caught anyone else out ?

(I'm semi OK with Linux and its use)

yeah, use linux to flash the bootloader, and don't use a bloody 'local' pack

Be careful w/ flashing firmware (but that's not DinguX related). Unbricking yer Dingoo might be a bit difficult if you do not hade WinXP anymore (Linux, Vista, Win7 etvc etc...).

But there are absolutely NO disadvantages in installing Dingux, because you can always boot into the old native firmware/OS by NOT pressing Select during boot. :)

Dinux has a lot of ports of old games and open source games. I recently "discovered" openBoR (it's Asterix port is super!) and Descent i & II. If you've a Dingoo you NEED to install DinguX, else you do not get the full Dingoo experience!

Good luck :)
Finally got me a new Dingoo after I Kentucky ~~::fried::~~ the other one. Yippee! [edit] And lost it!
