There are two "big" versios of Dingux, "Legacy" Dingux and OpenDingux. "Legacy" is not really part of the name, it means that a version is older than OpenDingux and have no support. There are a lot of kernels for legacy dingux made by some user, wich made it confusing. OpenDingux is been coded by Ayla and mth and it's meant to have all the pros of the different legacy dingux kernels, fix all the bugs from legacy, fix all the bad habits from legacy wich made apps less portable, and add new features (like reading the NAND).
