Dingux and official firmware 1.2
« on: November 05, 2009, 02:30:05 pm »
Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to perform a firmware upgrade to Dingoo when Dingux is already installed? I would like to have my Dingoo updated with the latest official firmware.

This is not a problem - I`ve updated 2 x dingoo`s yesterday - does not effect Dingux in any way - Happy upgrading  ;D

I did, too.  No problems, everything works.  But DON'T try using the HFX Tool with the new firmware.

Well, I've seen a lot of claims that the HFX Tool, use on the new firmware...can brick your Dingoo.

Those people probably used custom startup/shutdown screens that weren't properly converted.

Big YES!

OR they overtype byte size when translate or change something in  menu - 100% brick.

Nevermind , there is nothing to fear - i brick my dingoo and test unbricker - it works!  :D
