Dingux All-In-One Package?
« on: July 02, 2010, 01:34:11 am »
Hey everyone, I finally ordered a Dingoo A320!

I plan on putting Dingux on it as soon as I get it, because from what I understand it has much better compatibility for emulation, and more customization. I stumbled upon the idiot's guide to installing Dingux, and I see it has links to files that I'll need. However, there are several zip files I'll need. I know I can just grab all of those and be fine, but is there some all-in-one package for Dingux somewhere that may be bundled with a link to said guide that I could use?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: My bad, I got an A320, not A330.

That "Idiot's Guide" and the files it links to are damn well out of date.

Here's the bootloader for the A330 (the 64MB of RAM one): http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-releases/%28release%29-64mb-dingux-for-a330/

And the bootloader for the A320: http://www.mediafire.com/?n31mjww5zue

You want this rootfs: http://www.mediafire.com/?zthdvtn1ngd

You want this zImage: http://sience.schattenkind.net/dingoo/SiENcE_downloads.htm

Here is the latest "local pack", as they're called: http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-games-and-homebrew/dingux-local-pack-v0-35-31-05-2010/ which comes with most of the available apps and emulators and stuff.

But you don't want the zImage that comes with that pack. Use the one I linked before. The rootfs that's in that pack is the same one I linked.

When it comes time to install, remember there are two stickied topics on this board http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-help/ and several other places on here that tell you how to get Dingux running. Use the search function if you need to.

Sounds confusing... however, I'll do my best to get it to work! Let's hope I don't brick my Dingoo. :P

EDIT: By the way... I was thinking of using the XMB-style GUI frontend for Dingux instead of the other one. IMO it looks better. Where can I get that, or should I just shut up and use search? xD

EDIT(2): My mistake! I got an A320, not A330. I'm an idiot. xD

My zImage has also support for TVout and Swap. It's the newest stable Dingux kernel and all people should take this until OpenDingux kernel is released.

Hi,

I have already asked the question in the general forum so apologies for the double post.

Could someone upload the local pack 0.35 including the latest zimage and rootfs as an all in 1 package?

I would love to have TV out support within Dingux but I am crap at compiling things and as you see a bit of a noob!

If someone does upload a full package am I correct in thinking this is all I require to enable TV-Out?

Thanks in advance.

Shaun

There is no sense in update localpack 0.35, because openDingux will be release "soon". Localpack is to big, have tons of unusefull things, outdated emulators, old ports, etc etc..
Trust me, is better install all by your own, is not to hard, is just copy+paste and add a link to gmenu.

It's ok Ive done it.

I have an issue with TVout.  Sometimes it fits to screen and sometimes it doesn't.

Do I have to do something after launching tvout or is it just trial and error?

Thanks

Now that Mega is no more, where can we get this package as shown on his install video?
