curious: Anyone know if tv out under dingux is planned?

title says it all....it's the only reason I prefer my emulators to be under the original operating system =[....a giant mario is better than a tiny one :)

It is planned, but will not happen sometime soon, because of technical issues and problems it will cause while in T.V. out mode, let's just be patient enough and pray for this to happen. For the mean time, just enjoy Linux in your pocket!

lol, i do enjoy having linux in my pocket.  It's just that if im at home, I prefer to use my 42" plasma and soon my hopefully 120inch (if lighting suits) projector which should arrive in the next week.  It's alot easier on the eyes than the little screen, regardless of the fact that the tv out quality isn't exactly stunning.

I saw in the comments on the official dingux site (mentioning the latest dingux release, lacking the poweroff option) that one guy found how to get the tv-out controller working in linux and was doing some fiddling and testing with it to see what he could make happen... hopefully his results are positive.

That's a little bit exciting!  :P
Do you have a link for where it was mentioned?

It's a great feature for watching movies & the odd game. I do think as long it's in the plans for dingux which I'm sure it would be, there's nothing to worry about. Once the programmers get all the other kinks out, it'll come!

Check out the last comment made by congozombie... sounds promising... but you never know... A lot of projects I started for dingux turned into problems turned into scrap... but you never know... he may be more persistent than I....
