I tried use tv-out tool from here. Unfortunately, I have the same problem: after the launch of tv-out.dge (with --pal parameter) i see the console output or white screen (sometimes) on the dingoo, and nothing on the TV. Soft reboot hangs dingoo.

tv-out output log (gMenu2X log viewer):
Code: [Select]
FB at 0x0, len 0, LCDDA at 0x0
cpccr 0X40022220 cppcr 0x1b000520 lpcdr 0x9

TV-out works fine in the native os and opendingux.
Does anyone, who own a ILI9338, managed to run TV-out with SiENcE kernel?

Same problem here, please fix it SiENcE

I can't seem to run the comand at all.i have set up the sd card,i flashed my dingoo in usb mode it is now called Jz4740 usb Boot Device (rockbox USBtool)

My dingoo is pluged in and on a black screen.(b button, reset)
following the read.txt i take it i'm on step 5 now,but i don't understand
step 5.
what do i need to put in cmd. word for word..?

where should i place the dual boot files?

if i click on usbtool-win it just flashes up and goes ?

is it because i'm using vista ??

You must run it through Command Line. WIN+R -> cmd -> cd to the directory you downloaded to -> launch usbtool-win 1 hwinit.bin 0x80000000 -> launch usbtool-win 1 zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9338 0x80600000 -> follow instructions on your dingoo and there ya go!
Sorry guys for not caring about dingoonity lately. It was nice to be with you, and maybe I'll come back, but not now...

but

this happened

"c:\User\ROB>to thedirectory you downloaded to -> launch usbtool-win 1 hwinit.bin 0x80000000 -> launch usbtool-win 1 zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9338 0x80600000

the  system cannot find the patch specified
?
I have folder called Dualboot on my desktop with the following
zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9331
zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9325
zImage (my 9338 renamed)
usbtool-win
hwininit9331
hwininit9325
hwininit_ILI9338
folder called Driver
Dualboot_installer (neothefox but it doesn't have my LCD type to click on)

FIRST OF ALL rename hwinit_ILI9338 to hwinit.bin
Then you have to type cd complete path to the files (ex. cd C:\User\ROB\Desktop\Dualboot) and press enter.
Then you have to type usbtool-win 1 hwinit.bin 0x80000000 and hit enter.
Then you have to type usbtool-win 1 zImage 0x80600000 and again hit enter.
The flashing process should start and after Dingux logo you should see installation screen on your Dingoo.

'cd complete path to files ex. cd C:\User|ROB|Desktop|daulboot'

the filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect

came back...

renames hwinit to .bin (first i have heard of of doing it)
i thought this was going to be it mate, right it's clear now i am bloody stupid please type
what i need to copy and paste (its the only way) should i move any things ?

You're still doing it wrong. If you have the files in C:\User\ROB\Desktop\Duabloot, write
Code: [Select]
cd C:\User\ROB\Desktop\Dulaboot Got it?

Now when you start your dingoo you should see DINGUX screen. This means you installed dual boot correctly!

Hi all :)

Thank you so much who wrote and contributed to this topic, especially thanks to Pollux. I have never dared to put Dingux on since mine, too, is with the ILI9338. I read and downloaded many guides and made bookmarks to as many fora and tutorials that I could find and finally, tonight I have done it step by step the way Pollux laid it out on pg. 1 of this thread, and what can I say, it has worked like magic, from scratch, no faults at all.

All the best to the others, don?t give up. I wanted the Atari 2600 emu and playing Elite II and the Intellivision one and revisit the ScummVM-games. At least this is possible :)

Keep up the good work! With tutorials/explanations like these I think anyone who can read can dare to ugrade their Dingoos to new heights.

You may have made a typo. I see the term "daulboot" where you might meant "dulaboot". The error mess. you get suggests a typo too.
Finally got me a new Dingoo after I Kentucky ~~::fried::~~ the other one. Yippee! [edit] And lost it!

Sience, I just downloaded your kernal, replaced the zImage I was using with it, and now my dingoo hangs on the Dingux screen when I press select to boot into Dingux. I went back and put the original zImage I was using and it still hangs. =( Can't get into Dingux anymore.
