Why not enterin Dingux without select?
« on: October 27, 2009, 04:29:08 pm »
I dont know if is possible , but many people in most of the cases only uses Dingux instead of Dingoo OS.
So, why not set up to enter directly into Dingux? And press select to Dingoo OS?

last time i checked there was no shutdown support in the dingux kernel.  meaning to turn off youd have to go into the stock O/S.  that would be one reason i guess?

Here:

Wow...sounds a bit confusing.  Wish there was just a way to replace my existing zImage file with one that had the poweroff-shutdown thing built into it..... :(

Are you sure it is not in the toddler pack? I have the 0.30 and it can power off. Maybe you just have to put

MenuItem Poweroff
{
Icon = "res/system/reboot.png"
Name = " Poweroff"
Executable = "poweroff"
WorkDir = "/"
}

dmenu's cfg file? And put an icon into the directory.

Have you tried the images from the thread given to you?

in some pre-0.30-release (0.31? 0.32?) Toddler probably changed the zImage (or used an other/newer version). The dmenu-entry still existed, but shutdown didn't work.

I asked the publisher of the modded kernel. He will post it later on Dingoonity.

Sweet.  Have him post it here.

+1 karma to you for that.
