Where to d/load those all important rom sets, rom packs!
« on: November 27, 2010, 05:03:31 pm »
Hello,

I have been reading these forums for many months now, since I discovered the handheld emulation scene, at the moment I have a Caanoo and a Pandora ordered (No Dingoo yet, but this still is my fav forum).
This is my first post.
As I understand it isn't allowed in the rules to post direct links to roms, which is very understandable, but has made the whole thing so difficult for me and anyone like me, I know obviously where to download roms, anyone with google can figure that, and I know that utorrent can be a great help when downloading rom packs, but this is only when it works and there is so much that is not there.
Individually I'd say I have clicked about 2000+ times and waited for that stupid 60 second bar to disappear, to end up with a collection of my own roms about 5 gigs in size.
Well without directly breaching forum rules, is there anyone out there willing to point me and people like me to the end of the rainbow?

Thanks for reading my post!

Bouvrie

Quoted for truth. Seriously, providing ROM links isn't allowed on this forum (with good reason). I would say learn to use google a bit more creatively and you are bound to strike gold at some point. Get into emulation a bit more, learning terms like the ones discussed on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GoodTools .
Write/save problems? Segmentation faults? Black screens? Read the Troubleshooting and FAQ guide first to fix your issues! :)
SD Card readonly/corruption issues? Chkdisk /F and steer clear from DMenu: use GMenu instead!

Hi Bouvrie,
Thank you for your reply. I have gotten so much help since posting this, my 5 gig collection is at about 60 gigs now and rising. I fully understand why rom links cannot be posted in a place like this, I got sorted anyway, and thanks again to everyone here.

Kind Regards,

Charles.
