This game is awesome, and in the next days a linux version will be available.

Is it possible a dingux port?

See the link below:

"The source code of this project is closed and there is no project that uses or could use the source code."

So, no. It is not possible.

Taken from the official site:
"ENDING
In the coming weeks the blog will be updated with the release ports (Linux, Wiz) and the official SORR V5 soundtrack in mp3 format."
.
Maybe if someone contacted the guys from bombergames and told them about the dingoo and dingux they could release a dingux version.

I have been reading the project info and I have see that the game is done with a programing language named Bennu. Bennu works basically in every OS where SDL & libdl ara avaiable and uses a Creative Commons license.

http://www.bennugd.org/

The faq from Bennu says:

Quote
What are the programs inside the "bin" folder? What are they used for?
There should be three executables, named:
    * BGDC: This is the compiler for Bennu code. If your code is correct, it will translate a ".prg" file into the corresponding ".dcb" file. If your code is not correct, it should indicate you why, when run from a terminal.
    * BGDI: This is the Bennu interpreter. Once you've compiled your code into a ".dcb" file, this program is used to run that code.
    * MODDESC: This program gives you details about the modules installed in your system, when run from a terminal.

I understand that the games work from and interpreter that load a .dcb file. So the only need would be a interpreter port to DINGUX. Then the people from Bombergames only would have to compile the interpreter and the .dcb, with some specifically instructions to make it work in Dingux...

I'm not programmer so perhaps I say something wrong...

Bennu for Dingux (Beta): http://www.gp32spain.com/foros/showthread.php?t=80866

A version of Streets of Rage remake for Caanoo has been launched:

<a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20201023053437/https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnebICmy0TM" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnebICmy0TM</a>

Someone could make a version for Dingux?

That looks to be an older version, and apparently done with some help from the Bomber Games guys and their source code? This was before they got the cease and desist order from Sega. They aren't going to help anymore with these porting projects, I assume.

Well if it's that slow and sluggish on a Caanoo, I don't want to see how it runs on a Dingoo. :P

It would indeed be sweet if eventually got to decent speed on the Dingoo.

I'll take my leave from this discussion now, since I have no idea what's going on. :P

Afraid to know that Streets of Rage Remix will probably never ported to Dingux. However i would suggest to all Streets of Rage fans to try Bare Knucle Vacuum 4.0 (info & download at Lavalit site) which is indeed a great game with awesome backgrounds. I tested last week and it runs perfectly on Dingux OpenBor.

It actually runs pretty decent on the Caanoo. With downsampled music files and pollux added it's almost full speed with some slow downs when there's alot going on on the screen. It still runs faster on the Wiz though, it's about the same speed without changing anything.

Its not an older version its v5 the one that was released because of the cease and desist.

Lol it is not slow or sluggish when overclocked. That video was done at stock speed. Once and a while you get a little hiccup but thats it. I tested it on the wiz and its not much different. Make sure you are using the latest bennu
