Anyone try it yet?

I believe it's open source, and it'd need a bit of editing but I think adding a menu for all the commands vs. keyboard commands might make it easier to play anyway (certainly more accessible, I remember trying to play NetHack for the first time without researching the commands.. I still have nightmares). It's a fantastic game, and certainly one that I'd love to play on my beloved a320. I've also done a fair amount of programming (for someone who's only worked on a couple of [PC C++] projects) so I would be interested in working on something like this if anyone's up for it as well.

Also, on a relatively relative note, is anyone working on (or attempting) an N64 emulator for Dingux? I'm not sure how close the N64 is specs-wise to the PSX, nor have I tried out how well the PSX emulator works, but I'd love get my hands on Super Mario 64 again..

Have fun ;) This'd work way better on the nanonote, which has a full-fledged keyboard.

In regards to the N64 emulator. Nope. Won't happen.

The PSX had a MIPS based processor running at a whopping 33 MHz. The N64 (which was WAY more powerful than the PSX), also ran on a MIPS-based processor, but at 93 MHz. That's roughly three times as fast, and would (roughly) require three times more processing power to emulate at playable speeds. The PSX emulator on the Dingoo already have major issues in regards to speed, even with sound disabled.

Emulating the N64 on the Dingoo is not realistic at all. I know people said this about the PSX, but the PSX used a 32-bit processor running at 33 mhz, and that's certainly loads easier (on the cpu) to emulate than a 64-bit one running at 3x the clock speed.

TL;DR: Source for NetHack is available, N64 is never gonna happen.

There is a sdl gui for nethack, though it needs some rewrites to run on dingux, but it would be nice to have this game playable on dingoo :)

the ancestor, Rogue, will run on native OS soon  ;), just wait a little ^^

Well, as for the GUI based version, I personally always liked the original ASCII version myself. So that'd be my first priority if I was to do a project like this.

And a keyboard would be better for just straight porting, but if I brought it over to the a320 I'd make it so that pressing select or something would pull up a menu with all the commands sorted by category (or sorted by something, if that didn't work) and then you'd go from there. Common commands (i.e. kick) would be mapped to keys, although I'd probably do it so that you could change what commands are mapped to what buttons.
