PSX4ALL DX - My little p4a-dingoo mod

Hello all

Im currently , slightly modifyng P4A GUI and slowly adding few nice options like:
 - loading p4a options from external .cfg file. It will be nice feature for all of You struggled to setup p4a for maximum performance [wip].
- BIOS choose option

Nice but better make an grafikcal fronted Gui will be more nice :)

In this phase of p4a development, i think its a little pointless to make full blown GUI with super graphics. It will only eat more dingux's memory and slow down emulator.

If start Emulation you can free the surface and free the memory so it dont will waste anything.

real life, currently stops me from diving deeper into psx4all, especially diving into graphical UI. I'm no graphic designer so its a little pain for me redesigning from graphical side.

I'll add only few adjustments into p4a in this month. In next month we'll see..

The biggest update everyone is tickling about is to see Poly and Sprite FS fixed. Almost every game would be playable with these working...

if Poly and Sprite FS can be fixed, Streak you would be the No.2 best guy for dingux. (booboo is the 1st).

despite the high expectacion of us, you still did well. It is good to see some new stuff come up for dingoo.
Just keep up good work, I guess as you dig deeper into this, you will eventually become a master of psx, just like zodttd and Notaz.

"auto save game" is not good,because sometimes i want save game only set menu...
save every time,it can confusion my wanted save..

Just tested caslevania symphony the night, it is much eaier to use, gotta love the bios improvement.

So... How do you use the R2+L2 buttons? ::)

Abe's Oddyssey runs surprisingly well with the fix, but is unplayable (afaik) because of the limitations with the R2+L2 buttons...

Nope. Currently i'm focused on Pandora. I dont think there is any way to speed up the emu itself on underpowered dingoo. Only fix that is needed in p4a is a frameskip fix, but unfortunately i just have no time to play on dingoo [and particualry code for it]. I just cant resist the power of Pandora..

I don't really know why no one's noted (perhaps because a lot of emulation nerds never really play anything... really?) that Abe's Oddyssey is unplayable because sneaking is impossible.
Select + L is supposed to be R2, right? And R2 is needed to sneak, but pressing Select + R to get R2, and then left or right on the d-pad only affects enabling/disabling show FPS effectively making the game impossible to play because you can't even get past the first few screens where sneaking is required.

Wouldn't it be a better idea to make Select a toggle betwen L1/L2 and R1/R2 instead of Select+L/R?
I mean, the select button isn't used for anything really useful except maybe frameskip up/down, exit etc.
How about putting exit on the on/off slider and menu on hold, if possible?

The rest is pretty much useless, at least as far as playability goes...
That is, if the emulator wasn't supposed to be some kind of a proof of concept... Without any real concept?
It runs, but you can't actually play it, yay!

Any way, I tried running O.D.T. but get some weird kind of error where the PSX bios boot image stays, except the white is black etc. Any word on that?
