PSX4ALL BIOS Noob Question.
« on: November 09, 2009, 10:49:02 pm »
Hi guys.  Quick question.  I just downloaded all the PSX Bios files and threw them all straight in the PSX emulator folder.  I got Forsaken to work no problems so it's obviously picking a working BIOS.  But is my method of putting all the BIOs files into the folder correct or will this cuase issues with other games I put on.

For example.

If I put on a PAL and NTSC game will the emulator automatically pick the correct BIOS, or does it just pick the first BIOS it finds (which will cause problems if u are playing a PAL game but it's trying to use an NTSC BIOS).

Any help would be appreciated.
So far....
NES, Master System, Lynx, Mega Drive, Mega CD, SNES, 3DO, Playstation, Saturn, N64, PS2, Dreamcast, XBOX, X360, PS3, Wii.....  And best of all... A320.

PSX emulator only uses one BIOS at a time.

Read the "read me"

Thanks Goon.  I really should start reading the readme files.  So basically becasue I have all the BIOS files in there it is only using 'scph1001' BIOS.  But what I should do is get the latest BIOS and rename it to 'scph1001' and get rid of the rest.  And make sure all my games are NTSC region.

Some games perform  better with different BIOS's apparently, so you might want to test a few different ones and report back in the PSX forum. There's a list around somewhere..
