Is there any way to play redbook audio with this hack in PicoDrive 1.91b (SCD Mode1)?

Another question.

Is there a way to run Road Rash CD? It's painfully slow in the races. I thought disabling the sound in the races would do the trick, but it doesn't. The game only turns the volumes down.
