I understand your frustration, and I must say I share it with you.
It seems (at the moment) like decent PSX emulation is indeed a dream.
On the other hand, I think porting of other games/apps/etc is more interesting than emulation.
The gameplay and overall feel of the games do not match the inputs of the (for example) Dingoo in terms of button configuration etc, which makes the emulation an uphill struggle from the start.
Lobbying to get indie game developers to either release source code to dingoo/dingux developers for release on the dingoo (somehow, paid or not) would be a much more interesting prospect than getting emulators to 'work', which they never will, because they're emulators!
For example, Meritous was ported to dingux quite long ago, but no effort has been made to fix the bugs in the port (mainly making it pretty much unplayable) and even though the code's been fixed for the gp2x, the same fixes have yet to be applied to the dingux build. Why is that?
Laziness or ignorance? I've made efforts to port and improve code on various ports and even some games that haven't been ported yet, but I keep running into compatibility issues on the developer side and don't really have the time to really sit down and try to straighten everything out.
All I can say is, if anyone were to decide to release ported games for the dingux for commercial profit, given that the ports were good enough (a demo is a must, of course...), I'd pay for them.
Here's something I would VERY MUCH like to see running on dingux;
