Need help getting Emulators to run
« on: September 22, 2013, 11:38:20 am »
Hi,
Firstly sorry I'm new and realized after I had posted that this is probably the wrong section to post this!
I was wondering if anyone could help a newbie! I have successfully installed the basic local pack onto my sd card and have put 2 Emulators into the emulator fiolder on my sd card.
I can run opendingux and have made to links to the 2 dges in the Emulator. I have uae4all and mame4all_dingoo_v1.2. Mame4all opens, gets to the game list and then promptly exits back to the opendingux desktop.
With uae4all I can open it fine, and again when I get to selecting the disks I press run and the emulator exits to the desktop.

I have a Sandisk 1gb mini sd.
I formatted it through a mac.
I have the basic local pack.
I have an A330 with no paw on the back.

I am new to this as I said, really can't wait to try it all out, any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Mame4all 1.2 is only for Legacy Dingux, not for Opendingux. Use Mame4all for Native firmware instead. Is more compatible and faster.

You can edit the emulator links in opendingux to point to the roms folder your using. don't use the ingame rom browser. highlight the icon for the emulator you want to change, hit the start or b button, i don't remember, then edit the rom path.
samir is right though, mame4all is much faster on native currently.
