Gpsp Bad graphics and problems.
« on: May 25, 2012, 03:54:28 pm »
So i recently tried to use gpsp on dingux and found that with any game loaded the graphics are really bad for some reason. In comparison the graphics when using the native Gba Emulator are much better. Is this a known problem? or is there something wrong with my specific emulator?

Another issue i have with gpsp is that after playing a game there are 3 files per game made which makes it annoying to have to cycle thourhg 3x the number of games. Does anyone else have this issue?

In all honesty the native GBA emu is a lot better, has there been a port of it to dingux?

Any help would be much appreciated,
Thanks

I agree; gpsp under Dingux is usable but not pretty. I tested it pretty extensively when I was having problems with Final Fantasy VI Advance and found it didn't really work for me. I would love a proper update of it that rivals the native emulator, particularly if it did a better job with problem games like FFVI and Mario Tennis.

does open dingux have a good working SNES, Sega Megadrive and Gbc emu also? I was considering getting open dingux but wasnt sure it would have all the emulators i want :/

EDIT: another issue (kinda off topic) im using gnuboy for dingux atm, and every now and then (actually quite alot today) i get the screen flickering like crazy, its incredibly annoying and i cant find a way to stop it. Im almost definite i have the latest version of the emu. Are there any other emulators for gbc?

you know all OD it's still in development but for a such a stage they're good. So you can test them but i don't will promise anything so if you afraid then better wait for a final release ;)

Wow, I didn't realize that the version of gpSP for OD was different from the Legacy version. I'll check it out today! Thanks for the heads up.
I can't wait for the official OpenDingux release. Hopefully we'll see some of the developers who created great Legacy Dingux software come back and update their work.
