Change /sbin/mkswap to mkswap.

I recommend you to use elta's rootfs.

I made it work finally! ^^

I made a convenient solution for gmenu2x users.

Just extract and go to 'settings' and then run mkswap & swapon. You don't have to run mkswap everytime. Just run swapon only.

I tested this kernel with jfshadow and eduke32, and loading time problems seem to be gone on both of them :)

Yes its a great addition, but I think 64mb swap is really oversized. Playing jzshadow eduke32 and so on it was used about 7-9mbs. So I would recommend a size of 32mb or just 16mb.

Seem to do something wrong :( I tried Dodonpachi and instead of giving me an out of memory error, it loads further than before, but than hangs while loading the rom. Can anybody confirm, that Dodonpachi now runs correctly?

@ n1nj4ofshr3d  Its the zImage at the beginning of this thread that needs to replace your old one and then in this thread you will find the script For the Gmenu2x so you can turn on and off the SWAP - although I haven't tried it myself as I`m @ work  ;)

Anyone mind making a little video of this thing running  ;D

Sorry for slightly offtopic, but is there a trick to properly replace the zImage? I mean so that the new one is at the beginning of the card. Just had to reformat for the TV-out, and now for swap again it seems (hangs at dingux screen)...
 :-\
We need an all-in-one-kernel.  ;D

You need to do the proces in this order:

Format sd  => copy zImage => copy rootfs => copy your local folder.

Just wait. it takes some time to run.

If your old zImage is bigger than the newest, there won't be any problems. Its the converse that causes pbs...

If you have a small card, it will always work too.
