I was trying to read the clockspeed and just wanted a cheap-n-dirty way to grab it, so I came up with this little shell script:

Code: [Select]
#!/bin/sh

CLOCK="$(cat /proc/jz/cgm | grep 'PLL Freq' | awk -F: '{printf $2}' | awk -F. '{printf $1}' | sed 's/^[ <tab>]*//')"

echo "Current CPU Clock speed is $CLOCK MHz"

It reads the clock speed out of /proc and parses it so the variable $CLOCK is the figure in MHz.

Cheers!
