For the work in progress OpenDingux (note, not Dingux) Ayla has an awesome background daemon for this sort of thing. If you are interested in that, I'd suggest logging on to IRC (see the wiki for details) and chatting there. Or wait until OD is released (no ETA).

I'm guessing this is for the x760 which is missing a few hardware buttons?
