EasyRPG - Development Build
« on: November 15, 2013, 04:59:25 pm »
After a long time, we have a new EasyRPG build for Dingoo (OpenDingux). The bad news here is that the performance is not as good as before :'(

Installation instructions:

- RPG2K games: Copy the RTP files to /usr/local/home/.easyrpg/rtp2k
- RPG2K3 games: Copy the RTP files to /usr/local/home/.easyrpg/rtp2k3
- Copy EasyRPG and run.sh files into the game folder (the folder where RPG_RT.exe is)
- run the run.sh script

You can find the binaries here:
https://easy-rpg.org/player-downloads.html

More info about the OpenDingux build:

Thank you for this! I need alittle help though. I think I know whats going on, but i'm a tad confused. the rtp files are part of rpgmaker program are they not? I think i found them on the easy rpg wiki but was not sure. then all i have to do is put a game on the sd card and copy easy rpg and its script to the game directory right?

Nevermind. I figured it out and got fantasy hearts working. thats really impressive. thank you again!!

Try http://rpgmaker.net/games/
Set "RPG Maker 2000" or "RPG Maker 2003" as the Engine in the Filter Options on the right, and see what shows up.

Of course, this isn't the only RPG Maker community/repository on the net. Go Go Gadget Google!  ;)

Ok so I think I understand will try when I get home. I made a folder in local/home .easyrpg inside that I made 2 folders listed above. Now I found both rtp files for 2k and 2k3 so I would then extract all the files from that and place them in their respective folders. Then I would download my game and put that games .EXE in the easy rpg folder I have in my game section. Inside that folder I have the easy rpg and run.sh. Game should run correct? Thanks again

No, the EasyRPG player can't read .exe files.

I couldn't download the file from the site (it has a stupidy time limit), so I can't say for sure, but it's likely a installer. If it's the case, you must install it on you computer, that's way you can locate the install folder and copy all game files from there.

No luck downloading the game, sorry.

If it was a installer, copy all the installed folder (containing .lmt, .lmu, .ldb, etc.) anywhere on your card, then copy copy EasyRPG and run.sh files into the these folder and run the run.sh script.

Hey guys, I noticed you're trying to use my game (http://rpgmaker.net/games/5794/) with EasyRPG. Unfortunately this won't work because the publicly released version uses Molebox to prevent the files being extracted (basically works as an encrypted sandbox). Additionally it uses a hacked RPG_RT.exe to overcome some RPGMaker limitations and add new features, so I doubt it'd work in EasyRPG anyway.
