Dingux Networking - possibilities?
« on: May 31, 2010, 10:04:23 pm »
These days I was wondering in a way of connecting two dingoos...
even if it is going to be a hassle...  :)

The first thing I thought is using a PC as a host. Not hard, but awful.
Then I look to my wired router, and tought "Can I connect using this thing?".
After a little searching I did not find a USB-LAN/USB-NET HUB or something similar, but found these adapters:

So, do you know if is possible to connect a device using USB-LAN like dingoo directly to a router using this?
Do you think it would work?
 ???

Usb to Ethernet adapters would require Usb host on the dingoo, so impossible.  A box with some sort of microcontroller with Usb host could work, and the right code to handle the Usb Ethernet gadget etc, no one has really looked into it properly, but pretty much nothing will work without extra bits of equipment
