Ok, sorry guys for not posting in so long...

About hexen and heretic:

  • Black border:
Actually, not a bug. The games were originally designed to run in 320x200, the Dingoo is 320x240 thus we have a 40 pixels black border at the bottom.
The original ports were ports from GP2X I think. There is a define for the screen resolution in the source code: I tried modifying that to 320x240. The 3D is rendered in 320x240 but all the 2d elements (UI, weapons) are still rendered at their usual place, so changing the resolution is not a trivial change. Sorry.
  • Strafing with left and right shoulder buttons:
There is a slight problem with that. The left shoulder button on the Dingoo is mapped to TAB and in hexen/heretic, the TAB key is "hardwired" to the automap with no possibility of redefinition. I think it would be possible to free the key if we disable the automap. But I don't know if people rely on it.
  • About the config files:
I discovered the config files are saved to the home directory, so the copies inside the application folder are, in fact, unused. Sorry about that :(

About the SDL:

Quote
Do you think it's possible to modify SDL to set screen size automaticly in 320x240 without add code to sourcecode project like the bpp mode ?

Hmmm not sure I understand what you mean.

Hmm.. installed eltas rootfs and there is no sound in games.
Code:
Couldn't open SDL audio: No available audio device

Which game caused that ? Never seen that error. :(

xRick

xrick has it cutoff like that, does it on the native dingoo port aswell(i think), it's just the aspect the program outputs at

Sorry for begging, but can anyone fix saving/loading states in Snes9x please?  :-\
*EDIT* Nevermind, I tried again and it works now. I'll have to figure out why it didn't previously.

@dingoo-digital-usa: Can you provide us some information about TVout from Dingoo Digital China? How they did it with dingoos nativ OS?

I think they used a special buffer in nativ os to copy this into tv-out chip. We currently have no infos about this chipset and no sourcecode or registers how to access this thing.

So the best would be sourcecode how to enable tvout. If not....infos about the tv-chipset and registers or header files...etc... :-)

For Heretic and Hexen better use GZDoom http://grafzahl.drdteam.org/ source port, or Skulltag if you wont play public multiplayer

Hi!
Thanks for your great rootfs upgrade and heretic version. Now it's running smooth without overclocking.
But I have a couple of questions:
1. How to switch weapons? This keys cann't be remapped by game menu and by config file.
2. Is it possible to center game screen like it was done in 0.20 version?
