Race-od for Dingoo A-380/A-320e
« on: October 17, 2012, 05:11:56 pm »
Here's the race-od version for the Dingoo A-380/A-320e.

Race-od is a NEO-GEO Pocket/Color emulator from alekmaul. It has been ported with the OpenDingux toolchain to the Dingoo A-380/A-320e with the sdlwrapper. That makes the updated sdlwrapper from d_smagin officially compatible with C++.  :)

The only thing I've changed in the source code is support for ".ngc". I did this because I'm lazy and don't want to rename my ROMs.  ;D

Enjoy this excellent NEO-GEO pocket emulator from alekmaul.  ;)

I'm happy there's finally a ngp emu for the a380 but when I unzipped the file and placed it in the external emus folder it just exits to the main screen. What am I doing wrong? Thx.

I've got no idea why it doesn't work for you.

Do you use the custom firmware?

This won't be necessary. I only wanted to know if you didn't use a firmware version before official version 2.00.16.

Is this the only emulator that doesn't work for you?

Hi. So I did the old delete the file and added it again and now it works. I think it didn't work before because I renamed the folder from Race-Od to  Neo Geo Pocket.

Thanks for taking the time to respond so quickly.

The Dingoo A-380 doesn't like "space" in names so if you want to rename it you should use "-" or "_" in your names.

The Dingoo A-380 isn't powerful enough for good PSX emulation. Making it run full screen is going to make it worse.

This is something for the next generation consoles.  ;)

Hi! Great! The dingoo a380 also can run scummvm emulator!

Unfortunately there's no easy fix for scummvm. It's one of those that can't be compiled with the sdlwrapper because the compiler refuses to compile it. I've tried several times without much luck to fix this without the sdlwrapper but it didn't work and I'm afraid that it won't be possible without rewriting some of the code. That's the part were my knowledge ends.  ;D

Maybe it's possible that it works if there was a way to disable the error check when trying to compile it with the sdlwrappper.
