Dingoo Digital produced the first and best units.

DD and DT were one in the same then. So that statement means nothing.

DD hasn't done anything either. This useless hacked firmware is no exception. It's just like DT's A330 console, except with software, but it's even less improved and more worthless. Maybe if they were to release something with substance, such as improved emulators, or a new firmware that does more than show little preview pictures, or a new console (which they said they were going to make) with all of the above. Then I'd be more convinced that DD is the one with the programmers and resources.

Where is your proof for that statement, don't trust speculation without proof. Dingoo Digitals firmware update may be insignificant, but they've added updates which would require access to the source code which pretty much proves that they own the source code.

According to DDU who has dealt with DD since near the beginning (before the supposed "split"), has said that the people he now deals with at DT are the same people he has dealt with from the beginning at DD. So that "pretty much proves" that at least some people from DT were once part of the original DD.

Your statement has no proof either. You are telling me it is absolutely impossible for a few "ex-employees" to hack the firmware enough to add such a trivial little feature (apparently they couldn't even do that without breaking it)?

If you guys could remain on topic, that'd be great.

I've given you a whole section of the boards to beat the dead horse, don't plague other topics with discussion about the legitimacy of DD or DT.

Hi,

On the same thread http://www.idingoo.cn/ShowPost.asp?ThreadID=591, there is also mention of an updated GBA emulator (apparently, there is a separate link). Any info about that?

Although I agree with what you're saying, the 1.6 firmware did run fine for me. It just had some problems which made me decide not to use it.

There's more than 2 types of Dingoo's, i.e. not just 'fake' and 'non fake" - there are various fake versions floating around. What you get depends on where you buy from - something that a lot of people still don't get.

i got it from a company that takes the products from the "official" manufacturer and rebrands them. it really acted like an official dingoo.up to now. if anybody can patch the fw1.6 to work on all dingoos (or on more dingoos at least , assuming that i am lucky and it will work for mine too) , it would be nice :)

edit :
i downloaded the a320.hxf 1.60 from an odd site , after searching for the file on google.i may have a broken file..or not.still , can anybody pm me with a reupload (none of the links work) of the fw1.60 that worked on their dingoo ?

i'd be pretty surprised if this ever got released properly, with bugs squished, the amount of native support coming from china can't exactly be classified as existing really

I tried it for about 5 minutes and then downgraded back to ole good 1.20.
As far as I got, I noticed these bugs: each time it actualized the files (like, unplugging the Usb) it hanged and had to be reseted (Possibly an issue with some mp3 names? Anyway, the older version didn't have that)
The thumbnail recognition for roms appear to work fine, but it read all the files in subdirectories to a common list; there is an option to go back to the directories system, but then the files on them won't show... So, it need a little more work, am afraid.

ouch that's sad.  I came looking for the newest updates since my daughter has been playing with the dingoo.  It's been a year since I've played with it and 1.2 is what I have installed.
