And if you'll make native-style menu and saving settings for any every game like in pocketsnes it will be ideal emulator

It already has that built in, BUT the current released binaries don't have working save/setting/cheat/text support which enable it.

I'm currently dealing with a problem related to saves games not being compatible with the Dingux (and desktop) version so once that is sorted this should be available.

Are the roms named correctly? *.zip or *.pce
Are you sure the roms are in the correct path?
What happens if you select ".." and navigate around?

My guess is  HuGo is extracted to the wrong directory, see the readme (and first post) for clarification on location names.

you are right, i put the hugo in game directory not like this

INSTALLATION

Unzip the zip file, into:

    A:\Game\3D Games\

this should mean a directory is created called:

    A:\Game\3D Games\DingooHuGo

Containing; hugo_dingoo.app

thanks, still waiting for updates like save game and save settings, just like pocketnes

Compatibility is possible?

I've no idea, we'd need someone with a device (and ideally an inclination to use the SDK) to find out.

From a usability perspective, the L/R triggers are missing. Hugo uses them BUT they are not required for operation, i.e. they are optional.

booboo has ported dingux to the 760 so that may be a better option. Whilst I'm not happy with the port I've made (it isn't very clean) it should still build for dingux so the few extra features I've added are available to anyone with a Dingux build chain.

That's good news, RE sound that isn't surprising the default volume is 50%......

RE controls, I was worried they wouldn't work as SDL events are not used, scan codes are. If one button works they should all work.

I've no idea why it won't quit :(

Hugo - requires roms and paperclip to operate.......... ;)

The Gemei X760+ doesn't have Start or Select buttons, so there's no way to quit. One common way is to map the power button to quit / bring up a menu.
Also about sound, the volume range is different on the gemei.
See this thread for more info: http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingoo-development/how-to-make-a-gemei-x760-version-of-game/

Hi clach04, actually BooBoo hasn't ported dingux to the x760+, and right now it seems that it's far from happening since BooBoo is busy at the moment with the GA 330, and the x760+ it's not at his priority list. Long time ago Mr. Willems Davy (AKA Joyrider) released the gnuboy for the native dingoo and gemei. I asked him if he could release a x760 version and he send me a little app so i provided him with the key values from gemei buttons and he released the gemei version. If you're interested i could send you these key values and you could modify them. And setting the volume to 100% also. I don't really know much about setting the sdk and recompile the emulator, so i can't help you that much. Even though the x760+ is dead, i still use mine cause i modded the dpad with a gba one and added a second battery. It's funny, even lacking some buttons. Anyway, if you could help some people would be really pleased.

Thanks for the info, shame about dingux :(

I suspect the key codes you have are SDLK keys (see http://code.google.com/p/dingoo-sdk/wiki/DingooSDL ) HuGo doesn't use these sadly, it uses scancodes. This is going to likely take more time than I have to spend on it at the moment. It is certainly worth sharing the information that you have, the wiki (top right hand corner of this web page) is a good place to add this information.

My current todo item is the gz compression. I'm hoping to get time soon to spend on that.

I think you are asking about the SDK?

I linked to it from the HuGo wiki page (same place you downloaded HuGo from). Feel free to fork it, that way I can follow any changes you make.

The link to "Hugo for native" Source Code exists?
Or only for Dingux?

Try https://bitbucket.org/clach04/dingoo_hugo/src
Look to the right "get source"

The release forum is not an appropriate place to post development questions, please use the dev board in future.

RE the problem you have above, did you try to edit/view the file? The Makefile does have some instructions in the comments. It is not a shell script.
