Which Dingoo?
This:
Or this:
If 1), forget about mame4all, if 2) there's no difference with dingoo a320.
GCW-Zero prototype, Dingoo a320, Ritmix rzx-50, Dingoo a380, Xperia Play

I may have found a bug with Xybots..  When I enter the end of level warp instead of moving to the next level the game pauses for a second and then returns to the title screen.  I've tested side by side with version 1.1 which works fine and I've re-installed the entire app and romset to rule out corruption of some kind.  Can anyone confirm if it's just me?  It does, very rarely,  go to the next level but completing that results in the same thing.

edit: If you take the easy exit on level 1 you can get right up to level 7, where the more difficult one takes you, and then the problem appears again.

I've played a lot of Xybots (and even just then finished a game) taking the harder warps and it seems to work okay for me. I've never had it drop out like you explained.

Can you check the "mame.txt" log file on your Micro SD card? Do you have one inserted as you are playing?

No, I don't own any Micro SD's but at least it sounds like the problem is something I've done wrong, I'll have another go at re-installing everything!  Thanks for such a quick reply :)

I haven't tested it much *without* a MicroSD card - and it does write out to the log file located there.
So... That might be it.
Try it with a MicroSD card. They only cost a few dollars, any size will do really.

I wouldn't have guessed that! Does that mean you can replicate the problem by removing your card?  I was ready to write it off as a bad rom.. sadly the only cash I can spend at the moment involves pressing start and select at the same time ;)  It doesn't seem to affect anything else; I went through a ton of games last night and everything seems to be working very nicely.  Toobin with the screen rotated and scaled is particularly sweet!

Actually I have been playing without the MicroSD card in the slot... It's currently in my A380! :)

(I've got a version of MAME4ALL coming for the A380!)

So the game I played yesterday seemed to be fine without the card inserted but I only played until directly after the first "harder warp". Did you play further?

Hey Slaanesh,

Mame4all is the best software on my dingoo, thanks very much! quick question:

TV-out only seems to work on some roms, is there a reason for this. Here's a pic I took of what it looks like. This was trying to play bubblebobble US rom but it seems to happen on all versions. I've tried all different settings. It happens on loads of roms yet some games are fine.

Mi Dingoo only overclocks to 384 MHZ, with 396 freezee in 20 seconds but even with my Dingoo, your mame is incredible fast compared with Legacy or Open Dingux MAME.

Thank you for your work.

Can you ADD SD suport and sim version for your temper release please?

Regards.

Thanks for this release, it seems the Dingoo is having an extended time, and this is too good.

Sorry for my ignorance, but, is it possible to run other games than the already listed in the apps, like, for example, Street Fighter II CE (which is not listed)?

Also, I can't run mkla1 (Mortal Kombat), the graphics are all glitched, even running the app gfxconv_mkla1.exe. The instruction file says the gfx file should be 8388608 bytes, but that's not the size of my file. Is this a problema with my roms?

Sorry for the delay replying Slaanesh, I got side-tracked by Out Run :)

I can take the harder warp to level 7 sometimes and have got as far as level 9 before the bug appears.  Xybots slightly randomises the level order so maybe the data for one of the levels has become corrupted and it glitches for that particular level only.  Why it only seems to be a problem for v1.2 though is weird.  I'll send you an email ;)

Apparently pressing Select updates the list  :)

And SFII will not likely work because of memory limitations (Can't load video emulation)

But I still can't run MK1, when the game checks the roms, all roms changed by gfxconv_mkla1.exe fail (painted red instead of green)... :(

Anyone for an advice? :o

You must be using the incorrect version of MK... use mkla1.zip

These are the names of the ROMS you are looking for and their correct cksums:

                                  NAME                                                          CKSUM

        ROM_LOAD ( "mkg-u111.rom",  0x000000, 0x80000, 0xd17096c4 )
        ROM_LOAD ( "mkg-u112.rom",  0x080000, 0x80000, 0x993bc2e4 )
        ROM_LOAD ( "mkg-u113.rom",  0x100000, 0x80000, 0x6fb91ede )
        ROM_LOAD ( "mkg-u114.rom",  0x180000, 0x80000, 0xed1ff88a )

        ROM_LOAD (  "mkg-u95.rom",  0x200000, 0x80000, 0xa002a155 )
        ROM_LOAD (  "mkg-u96.rom",  0x280000, 0x80000, 0xdcee8492 )
        ROM_LOAD (  "mkg-u97.rom",  0x300000, 0x80000, 0xde88caef )
        ROM_LOAD (  "mkg-u98.rom",  0x380000, 0x80000, 0x37eb01b4 )

        ROM_LOAD ( "mkg-u106.rom",  0x400000, 0x80000, 0x45acaf21 )
        ROM_LOAD ( "mkg-u107.rom",  0x480000, 0x80000, 0x2a6c10a0 )

Just wanted to add my thanks for this release. Just been playing Outrun, takes me right back to playing it in the arcade back in the 80s. Certainly beats making do with the Spectrum conversion like I had to back in the day!

The A320 is an excellent handheld, mine has been extremely durable having bought it when it first came out.

Out of all my handhelds, it's the one I use the most. My GP32 is probably my "favorite" handheld as it was also my first  one, but my A320 has seen much more use.

The beauty of it is that it's still good today! All those Android clones aren't that nice for gaming, especially if they are lacking  real physical controls. On screen controls are awful for retro gaming.

Anyway, there *will* be another release of Dingo A320 MAME4ALL some time in the future - there still is life in this beast! I also intend to release my Atari 2600 emulator too.

Slaanesh - Thank you for supporting the Dingoo A320.....it is a great device for retrogaming. I too have had one since they first came out several years ago. I like the size of it and the physical controls, and you can't beat the battery life.......you're right......playing games without physical controls is just not good.
Really really looking forward to your Atari 2600 emu......thanks again!!

Thanks Slaanesh, can't wait for Atari 2600. Do you plan to support the GCW Zero? MAME4ALL would be awesome on it

Thanks for this Slaanesh. Really good job. Great that you have added that 444mhz setting, which is ideal for me as my Dingoo only craps out at 448mhz.
I have noticed a graphical issue with 'Ironman Stewarts Super Off-road' (offroad.zip) which makes the game unplayable. When you start a race, the bottom half of the screen is part corrupt graphics from the previous screen, plus there is no track. You can just see the cars driving round. Strangely the slightly larger rom 'Ironman Stewarts Super Off-road Track Pack' (offroadt.zip) runs without graphical issues. Plays pretty well too.
Thanks.
