i hope so Chris23235, but as you said in previous post, lot's of game need more than 12 mB, and that's all available after mame4all is loaded  :-\

Other releases of Mame (if I recall correct, the one for the Dreamcast) simply splitted up the drivers into different executables, you had one with the Classic games, that only contained drivers for games till 1982, you had one with 16 Bit games, etc. With this method, the Mame executable gets much shorter.

Indeed! The native OS seems fine too me. In fact since joyrider ported GNUboy to native OS I haven't really used Dingux as much.
The native OS is pretty good and the development tools are out there.

Big thank you to people like Alekmaul, Slaanesh, Harteex, joyrider, alekmaul, Reesy, madcat1990, Spiller, and others who help support the native OS.

GP2X-F100 MK2, GP2X-F100 MK1, GP2X-F200, JXD 301, DS Lite, Dingoo A-320, Pandora CC, GameGadget, Pandora 1GHz, GCW Zero SE

Wow! With the addition of all these new games MAME went from "Cool" to "Essential"! Thanks for the great job, Alekmaul. Bubble Bobble works great. In fact, everything that I've tried that's not too new works great...except for The Simpsons. Has anyone gotten it working yet?

Aliens
The Simpsons
X-Men

I tested the emulators most of the "big" roms run well with overclock.
The atari games are faster than dingux mame4all.
I can play one of my favored games escape from the planet of the robot monsters.
Sunset riders runs faster then on dingux mame but there is no way of mapping any buttoons i the mame menu and frame skipping it's essential for some games which run better on 8 fps so fixing that would be great.
You did a great job thank you for your effort.
Keep Up The Good Work! ;D ;D ;D

Just curious, I am having problem running Street Fighter 2 on the Native.  Same rom works fine on DINGUX M.A.M.E.  I have tried all the Street Fighter but none works on the NATIVE but they work on DINGUX.  Strange, does anyone has any clue?  Thanks

Well, it's a memory problem ...
Sorry, not enough memory to run street fighter 1 & 2 :/

How does the memory in the Native version, differ to the memory availbale inside Linux?

(Just asking as I dont know)..

My feeble mind says the surely Linux would have less available as its must be heavier than the Native OS, or is there some optimising in the Native OS needed..

Actually I've been wondering that myself. Just how is it that many games just run better under Dingux instead of the Native OS?

Is it perhaps because Dingux uses less ram saving more for the games
Is it because the Dingux Emulators use less ram than the Native OS Emu's?
Is it because the sum total of ram used but Dingux+It's Emulators=Less ram used and thus more for the game?
Is it because the Emu's on the Native OS are not as efficient as the ones on Dingux?

Sry to bug you I'm just curious, btw not trying to dog the Native OS but I realize that it is fully possible that since the Linux based
Emu's are more widely known and understood perhaps optimizing them is far easier than trying to improve on what the Native OS's
chosen emulators can do. Either way I'm rooting for both OS's because in the end they both function with and for the same kick ass product we all know and love. I can't wait till my first Dingoo arrives this week. I still haven't even found out if and when I put Dingux on my unit what exactly I'm gunna load on it, like the absolute freaking must haves for Dingux setup. I'm wondering what format should I put the 8GB Micro SD+Mini SD adapter I'm going to put it in. I'm assuming Fat 32? But like the details i'm still sketchy on. OIASJHDA;OIDJAAS I WAN'T MY DINGOO!

The emulators can be coded with sdl etc and C++ in Dingux so they can be optimized better but Flatmush and Harteex are working on SDL for the native SDK...

Nevinryal it won't be long and you will be going Dingoo crazy like the rest of us... ;)

Ouch, i really could not understand why a direct access is slower than a sdl lib implementation, ... And mame4all does not use sdl, and is coded with C, not c++ (even file extension is .cpp).

Nevinryal, tell me which game is faster on Dingux regarding native OS (you can have fps with SELECT+R) , it will be nice to understand why (don't think that ram quantify is the pb, the os itself could be the pb)

So many games to test!

Rastan and Rygar seemed to work perfectly on the first try. Pot of Gold too. Bionic Commando seemed fine, but hardly had a chance to play it.

Thanks for reminding me. Rastan was one of my selections that I tried in the test build that I was disappointed by.

Good choices, man. There's nothing like unreasonably muscular barbarian types slaying countless hordes of ugly monsters.
