To make it short, Dingux+GMenu2X ("Legacy Dingux") is older than OpenDingux, but the last one is still in development.

Legacy Dingux has different kernels with different features: http://wiki.dingoonity.org/index.php?title=Dingux:Kernel

OpenDingux has only one implementation with the best things of all the older kernels, and some improvements (like reading both SD Card and Dingoo's internal memory): http://wiki.dingoonity.org/index.php?title=OpenDingux:About

If you want to develop something for OpenDingux you need to know C/C++, get the toolchain form here and follow this advises: http://wiki.dingoonity.org/index.php?title=OpenDingux:Development

For Legacy you'll need a proper toolchain.

For native, C/C++ knowledge and you'll need an SDK, but I'm not sure about this, I've never coded for native.
