Latest firmware, and programs?
« on: October 05, 2010, 05:19:10 am »
Hello fellow Dingoo owners. I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer.

I bought my Dingoo about winter or fall of 2009. Did a newer faster Dingoo come out since then? I recently was able to download and install my Dingoo to 1.20, I believe it was at 1.11, but I heard there was a 1.22 and a 1.30 official firmware version available. The Chinese website seems to be down, where can one find this?

I have been interested in writing my own programs for this machine for some time, but did not see a lot of support for it at first. What does one need to write code for it? Does it use C? C++? Java? Some other foreign programing language? I am Familiar with C and Java.

Are there any other emulators available for the Dingoo? I find the snes emulator a tad too slow, but heard people mention that someone made a better one for the Dingoo. How does one use other programs on the Dingoo?

How does one overclock a Dingoo? How much does the battery life change after doing this?

I hope to hear from someone soon. :)

sounds like you should install linux on it, native os is a pain to program for (but it's in c at least)

If you want to write applications, there is an official SDK, but I'd recommend this unofficial SDK http://code.google.com/p/dingoo-sdk/
It supports C and some C++.
