Dingoo is frozen on the usb screen.
« on: January 12, 2012, 10:05:11 pm »
I literally just got my dingoo a320 two hours ago, let it fully charge, then plugged it into my computer to add some games, and it instantly froze and now I have no idea what to do.

help  :-[

edit: I got it to unfreeze, but now everytime I plug it in to my computer, it freezes and I can't add any files to it.

Have you tried using it on another PC or Laptop etc... this would rule out either the fault being with your PC or a actual Dingoo Hardware or Software Problem.

I'll try it on a different laptop right now.  I also bought it from thinkgeek.com and it's unpawed.  I don't know if that would make a difference or not

EDIT: I plugged it into another computer and it finally worked.  I put some games on there, and I put the ohboy app and the new pocketsnes v2.2 app on there.  I still had to reset it though to get to the main menu, but it worked.

Now the only problem is it won't recognize the pocketsnes and ohboy app, and it doesn't show the gb and gbc games in their folders.

For that you must to update music library or something like that, you haven't thinking about sending this back? For that price which is on ThinkGeek you should have it fully working, gold plated and wifi (joke)

I finally got everything working, except the sound on my snes lol.  I don't even care though, i'm having too much fun playing earthbound.

Try installing PocketSnes .app and/or SNES.Sim Again and then update the jukebox...

I have the older Dingoos and with all mine, i plug into usb the Dingoo goes into USB Mode, PC detects a Mass Storage Device (or 2 if SD Card inserted in Dingoo).

When ever i add or remove or move and files on the Dingoos and i unplug the USB the Dingoos automatically update the jukebox.... so i have never had to Manually do this, maybe you never had to with the older Dingoo A320s

The Serials on mine was 4G 320WH (or BK for Black Dingoo) followed by 7 digit number.

Right now i'm using the PocketSnes.app and i've already updated jukebox and it didn't fix the sound.  So now I'll remove it, unplug my dingoo, plug it back up, and then add it on again and see if that helps.

Is there anyway to fix the dingoo from freezing in usb mode though?  Everytime I plug it in to put files on I have to reset it.

Also one more question, is there anyway to transfer save files from the gnuboy.sim to the ohboy.app?  I played about 30 minutes of a gameboy game on gnuboy before I got the ohboy to work, and it won't recognize the gnuboy save file.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry i dont really know how to copy saves, or exactly what could be causing you to have to reset and the freezing, does it do it only when plugged into your Pc/Laptop.

Hopefully someone else may be able to help as i am a bit of a Dingoo Novice my self. so sorry i cant be of great assitance.
