Can you do the DIngoo? xD

I haven't gotten it yet, but my Dingoo should arrive by this upcoming Friday at the latest. :)

Most of my questions involve this custom firm-ware..

My computer's operating system is Ubuntu 10.10, a Linux distro for those who don't know..

I read the instructions several times over, and I'm still not sure how to flash my Dingoo safely.. I'd hate to accidental brick it, because well, it wasn't exactly cheap... :/

1. Does anyone know if Ubuntu 10.10 recognizes the Dingoo when plugged in?

2. Whats the simplest and easiest way to install this firm war? (Step by step instructions please?)

SD CARD QUESTIONS: Games on SD Card version~!
1. Um.. I want to set up the SD card directory before I get my Dingo, so I can just flash it and get to playing... What would the folder layout on the SD card look like? (screen-shot pls?)

2. Does this firmware save the game saves and save states directly to the SD card? If so, this is great in case my Dingoo dies.. I can just remove the card and put it in a new one! :)

After examining the dingoo internal design, I realized that they'res not really any vents built into it.. Probably why its under-clocked when you get it..

1. What is the save settings to over clock it to - without it melting in my hands? xD

2. Does over clocking, produce a visually better response from the DIngoo? Or should I just leave it be?

3. I'm trying to make my Dingoo as multi-purpose as possible, so I have a bunch of .gba roms that produce added usages.. So far I have a normal calculator, a TI-83, a daily planner, and something called a GBA TV tuner.. does anyone know of any others?

about overclocking: you can safely overclock up to 430 mhz. it helps a lot with SNES, NeoGeo and CPS1/2. The only bad point is that it will drain the battery faster.
