A320 ILI9338 Dingux Installtion - Last Steps
« on: April 19, 2012, 12:12:10 pm »
Hi. I have an Dingoo A320, Model Type ILI9338. I have successfully installed the dualboot (i think). Ive followed this guide:

http://www.dingoo-scene.com/TheCompleteidiotsGuidetoDinguxWindoze.htm

But when I came to this section: A --> Flash Firmware --> 4, I saw the linux image of a penguin and some very small text (on black background) saying something about "not syncing". I cannot recreate this anymore although i could yesterday when I tried it. Now when i try to run usb tool it says it "cant allocate memory".

I am running Vista on my PC.

Could someone please help me with this? I would be most grateful Thank you

Hi. Im sorry - ill explain. Basically - the probolem used to be that the flasher script wouldnt launch - instead it would say that its not syncing. That was when i was following the idiots guide to installing dingux. now ive found

http://www.dingux.com/2011/04/support-added-for-new-lcd-type-ili9338.html

I was following its guide but nothing happens after this step in this guide:

That's it. Reset the A320 while holding pressed SELECT and you should see
dingux booting.

what can i do to fix this and run dingux? Thanks for helping out.

If you mean the zImage - I am using the correct one - ILI9338 (I think!)

If not - please let me know which one youre talking about.

ok. so i went back and did everything again starting with the idiotis guide. i did the first part of part A. Then when i did no 3 of the second part of Part A i get this message:

USBtool v0.4 - (C) 2008 Maurus Cuelenaere
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions.  There is NO
warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

I therefore tried the README that comes with

http://www.dingux.com/2011/04/support-added-for-new-lcd-type-ili9338.html

but when i reset it while holding down select - nothing happens - it just resets normally.

Help!

The zImage you downloaded on http://www.dingux.com/2011/04/support-added-for-new-lcd-type-ili9338.html is the Dingux kernel, not the installer.

Also, you did download a very old package, because the tuto you're using is quite outdated. Download dingux_dual_boot_installer_20110420.zip from https://code.google.com/p/dingoo-linux/downloads/list ; the file you'll have to send with usbtool is named zImage_dual_boot_installer_ILI9338.
