A380E?? Can someone help
« on: December 21, 2013, 04:45:56 pm »
I just messed up my Gameboy micro last month, and I was looking to get a portable emulator which has a small form factor similar to GB micro. dingoo a320 and dingoo 380 were the closest. Not sure if they even make this anymore. but I was more inclined to the 380 due to the better hardware.

so my question, I have seen a bunch of listings on ebay for a Dingoo A380E, and wanted to confirm with you guys if that's a legit version of A380 from dingoo tech.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Dingoo-A380E-Handheld-Emulator-game-console-/281225295428
This page also highlights the lack of sensors and wireless  controller support(im actually ok with it). I came across another question earlier in this forum, where it was concluded, its not an A380e, but a A320e instead.

So another question, would I be able to install the latest a380 cfw and the emulators on this.

I am new to dingoo , and it would be great if someone could respond..

Thankyou,

Alien Grey

It isn't a legit version of the Dingoo A-380 from Dingoo Technology. I even doubt that this Dingoo A-380e console is a Dingoo Technology console. There isn't such a console on the Dingoo Technology site.

It looks like it's a Dingoo A-320e but to be 100% sure they should be compared with eachother.

To answer the question. It's impossible to use the Dingoo A-380 CFW on the Dingoo A-380e.

Thanks Alien Grey,

just got mixed up with one of the posts here, where it says a380e emulators - http://dingoo-scene.blogspot.in/2013/03/the-latest-dingoo-a380e-emulators-in.html

Thanks for clarifying, il probably order one from here - http://www.etronixmart.com/dingoo-a380-mini-console-2players-gaming-wireless-controllers-p-793.html,

one last question, how is the emulation for nes, snes, gba and genesis? because these are only 4, im pretty much looking for in my handheld,

Thanks again

The snes, gba and genesis emulators that come with the console aren't bad. The nes emulator is too slow and garbage. The gb/gbc emulator is way too fast. The cps1, cps2 and neogeo emulator is very good.

However with the CFW for every emulator there's a better alternative and a lot more.  ;)

Sadly I'm in the same boat. After a year of 'research' I ended up buying a dingo A380E on eBay and complete naivety led me to think that what I was buying was an A380 *very sad face*

So now, I'm sitting here, Dingoo A380E in it's box on my desk, message sent to seller to return item, kicking myself, but... Like others have mentioned, is the A380E just a repacking of the A320E? If so, could we use the CFW for A320E and get something out of this mistake... which is, I'm sure, a question that must've crossed my parents mind at some point...?

Any advice would be great.
Lesson learned and square one isn't so bad.

i still do not have device at home, but when it comes i'll try put dingux from a320e into it. maybe it will go.
but with the passage of time i already bought the PSP 3004 in perfect condition for the same price. ;) PSP can emulate sega (primary for me), snes also.. other platforms, i do not know.

but I wonder what it is when it arrives.

Just sharing this answer in the case someone can help...

It is in the website.

Genesis emulator works perfectly
Master System emulator doesn't work (only the sound, in the Others folder).
GBA works well, but only have 2 buttons working (no L, R) . This is the one I most want to have working...
Game Gear emu works perfectly (Others folder)
SNES emu doesn't work well, it's too fast...

Waiting some light from our colleagues...

I'm sorry everyone, but I'm losing my mind here. If the A380e is fake, how do you explain this?
