Symbian OS

Since the Symbian OS has recently become Open Source, wouldn't it be pretty easy to port and emulator for it to the Dingoo?

There are tons of great Symbian apps out there for smartphones that would be awesome on the Dingoo.

Well, no need to "emulate" Symbian OS if the source code is available, it would be easier to just port it.
However, 2 concerns (maybe unfounded):
1 - Wikipedia "Nokia released Symbian under a new license and converted to a proprietary shared-source model as opposed to an open source project", so I don't think ALL the code is readily available for a port (I might be wrong though).
2 - Symbian currently only supports x86 and ARM platforms, so it could be quite a lot of work to support MIPS. I might be wrong again.

1. you're right: the os symbian code released not only is old as hell (pre s60v5 iirc), it's also incomplete. that explains why nobody has done anything big with it. well, that... and android.  ;)

Just one question, is the dingoo technically capable of running those symbian games?, they don't require a GPU( i might be wrong ) :>

It won't run any of them because of the cpu architecture incompatibility (arm vs mips)
