Latest A330 firmware from dingoo.hk

Hi,

since 2010-05-12 there is a firmware vailable at dingoo.hk.

The delivered A330 seems to have a very similar firmware (1.2) than the A320, only 32 MB RAM is supported. There is no .hxf file in the flash, so it cannot be compared with the new one on the web site.

The new file A330kongjian.hxf is much larger than the A320 files:
A320 V1.2 = 48256 KB
A320 V1.22 = 48139 KB
A320 V1.3 = 48133 KB
New A330 Vx.y = 52069 KB !

If this is only a A320 V1.2 derivate with a new theme, the difference of 4 KB is not explicable.
Or is it a new (higher) firmware with more features?
Does it support different languages (at least english)?

I don't want to flash my A330 with a wrong (e. g. chinese only) version, so does anyone know something about this new download?

P.S. The download links of the english version of the web site are broken, the chinese version runs without probs.

I'm pretty sure that download is old, not new. If you don't have any problems with your 330 at the moment then my suggestion is, don't bother flashing another firmware on it. The size difference might just be accounted for by the startup/shutdown animations which the 330 has that the 320 didn't.

If you do use that 330.hxf file, you get a lizzard animation as startup/shutdown, which looks kind of wierd/ugly.

+1 to what Stephanie said.

I've made a video of the firmware you to link to running on my A320; nothing new in there aside from some cosmetic changes. No new features or different RAM/CPU support.
