Bricked?
« on: July 28, 2016, 12:14:17 am »
So I just got this dingoo today and tried updating the firmware. The status bar reached 100%, but instead of going to the menu afterwards, it just hangs on this screen: (attachment)

It's been like that for several hours now, not really sure what to do. Is it still updating? I can't use the unbricking tool either, as I don't have access to an x86 system. :\

A bit more information; if I hold reset and down a short message appears, "same firmware version". I opened it up hoping to find an internal sd card but no luck. Guess this one's done.

I remember one of the developers (@pcercuei) installing OpenDingux on the internal storage. So your hardware is probably still usable in some way.

I have zero experience with the original firmware.
But yeah, you could just flash OpenDingux on a micro SD card and use it on your A320.

Is there a way to install dingux onto an sd without using the dingoo though? I also installed win xp x86 on a spare hdd so i may try the unbricker as well, after work. Hopefully one or the other will turn out.

All right, fixed. I used the hacked unbricking tool here:http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/dingoo.cgi?0,0,0,0,15,256
Thanks everyone for the ideas.
