7 fun filled days of salvation
« on: April 10, 2010, 09:13:21 pm »

I'm a sucker for old survival horror games so I enjoyed some time playing this, though I never got around to finishing it usually because I got sidetracked working on some newly released title. So now that the games been on our dingoo's for a while, did any of you ever finish it? How long did it take you?
I went back to my last save and its been so long I didn't know what the hell was going on lol, apparently I have a rubiks cube, can of lubricant, small attic key, engine oil, and wardobe key all in my items menu. I last left off on the 3rd day so it would appear I never made it too far  :-\

I started playing it, but didn't finish it. Later, I found out that the game (atleast the english version) was unfinished, so I never touched it. It's not even on my Dingoo anymore.

Played it. Loved it. Finished it.

Took me maybe 10 hours or so, can't say for sure... Around 7 days? :D

It's a shameless rip-off of Silent Hill, but a good rip-off. Unfortunately, like Reo said, the game is unfinished. After a "final boss" it ends with a "to be continued" screen. :/ I wonder if they'll ever get their hands on finishing it...

LOL spoilers :P

well, as long as that obese zombie you run into early on isn't the "final boss"  I think all is well

10 hrs sounds about a good length (hours not inches 8)) I just wish there were more games like this out on there

The game is still worth beating because even though it's not finished and leaves many questions unanswered, it still gives you some clues about what's going on. And no, the fat dude is not the final boss. It would be really lame if he was. :S

I just wish there were more games like this out on there
You mean on Dingoo? Or in general?
You know the Silent Hill series, right? ;O

Well, you can try the Clock Tower and Resident Evil series on Playstation emulator, though I never had neither the PS nor the emulator so I don't know much about how well it works and what horror games are there. I heard the emulator works pretty well, so maybe it's worth a try.

Got it, played it, finished it, and reviewed it for Pockett.net (check it out if you can read french).

The english version of the game is not finished yet (it ends after the 5th day), but on the chinese version of the official Dingoo site you can grab the complete chinese version where you can play the 6th and 7th days and see the real ending.

It was released last year.

You want proof? Here's proof:

(sorry for quality, these were taken with my awful camera phone)

It's all in chinese but if I could finish it without knowing any sinograms, I don't see why you couldn't.

Just remember two things:
1) the gamesaves of the complete chinese version are not compatible with the ones of the incomplete english version, so you will have to replay all the game from the beginning in chinese. You better remember which key goes where, where to get the right items and where to go.
2) don't forget to set the Dingoo language to chinese, otherwise launching the game will freeze your Dingoo.

Just download it and have fun :)

It's nice to see that the game hasn't been abandoned and actually has an ending. But it's no fun if you don't understand any of the text, since it tells a lot about what's going on. :S
Are there any plans for english translation?

If I remember correctly, just run away from him. I don't think it's possible to kill him with the knife.

First you have to hide in the closet in the bedroom. He won't find you and walk away.

If you run into him again (in the corridor, in front of the armor I think), enter the dining room. He'll enter after you. Run around the table and escape. Then enter the door in front of the dining room, this will trigger a QTE where you have to make sure the fat guy stays outside. He will then leave for good.

It's been a while since my last play so I don't remember well. I think it was like that.

I played it until the second day and then I was in a situation where every door was locked and I did not have the intent to go back into every single room to look for a key...
