Native SNES Emulator Besides Default A320 one?
« on: June 21, 2010, 01:44:21 am »
Hi, just wanted to know if anyone had made a SNES emulator for the native firmware that's not the default one. Not sure if the default A330 SNES emulator is any different from the A320 one, so please help me on that, too. I have looked and searched around but couldn't find one, for instance I searched here:

http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/dingoo.cgi?0,0,0,0,71

...But they're all for Dingux. Anyway, thanks.

Nope. There is no other native SNES emulator.

And the A320 and A330 emulators are one in the same.

LoL joyrider, you never cease to amaze us...  ;D

Care to elaborate? E.g. did you make it, was it too slow or why was it not released?
Cool to see you posting here again btw.  ;)

i mean the native snes emulator not as good as sega emu with double buffer. so if someone can make other native snes emulator with all the goodness like snes9x, it would be great.

You can only fix something, if you have the sources. We don't have the sources of the nativ snes emulator ;-).

Take Dingux and an Snes Emulator and all is fine.

What double buffer are you talking about? The MD emulator is suffering from heavy tearing problems, the SNes Emulator doesn't have this problems.

Oh yeah, I remember, but when I recall correct, this version ran significantly slower and as I said earlier, the SNes emulator hasn't this tearing issues.

It's easy to tell people to install Dingux.  For most of it, when we open the instructions, it looks like we need a PhD in Astrophysics to complete the them.

It's a shame the SNES emulator sucks.   It would be sweet if someone would release a better one for the A320/330 someday.

just a noob question...
in snes9x on dingux, if you turn of the full screen thing, the framerate is moe accurate. same on the native GBA, turn full screen and your gba game will slowdown...  :o
so, there is a way to turn off fullscreen on native snes emulator? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
ROCK'N ROOOOOOOLLLL!!!

On the native firmware it woudn't probably change anything regarding emulation speed, because snes9x4d resizes the picture in software to make it fit the screen, and I believe that the native emulators resize the picture using hardware directly.
