MVS.SIM - WTFF??
« on: December 01, 2009, 03:56:16 pm »
I used the goddam converter, like I was supposed to.  Not jack shit is playing in NEO-GEO.

I got CPS2 working just fine.  Fuckin MVS won't go though.

Any game I try to load, it goes straight back to the effing menu screen, this is pissing me off.

Probably not allowed, but too late now, and I'm grabbing those and trying.

Preconverted, no less!!

I gotta try.

I can't help getting angry, I like things easy...and if they aren't easy, and then don't work - even after I follow the instructions, I get pissed.

Because you normally find someone left something out of the instructions ASSUMING everyone ought to know it...well, I don't!!

I'm a IDIOT at this stuff, I need eveything spelled out step-by-step.

Oh yes and fully work - i know im running them ! So much quicker than converting the ones i have..

If you want easy then this sort of console is not for you, try a DS !
Part of the fun (for me) of this sort of console is the learning, the hacking around and following the 'scene' that builds around it and the excellent work the other do in finding things and emulating things etc..

I have had GP32, GP2x, and used to hack around the PSP as well, all good learning experiences.

Yes there is an element of not putting every i or t in to things but thats the point if someone needs that level then this  is not right you have to invest a bit of time and learning. I flashed my Dingoo a couple of weeks back for the 1st time. I had had it for about 3 months prior to trying it. I spent a day reading the posts, collecting the tools and reading the 'readme's before i jumped in. I still had issues (as my posts will show) but figured my way round it and got there, and some of the kind pepole here helped out too.

I think we all are to a degree, i can code at work in many languages, but lost on where to start on things like the Dingoo - plus dont really have the time..

Never mind, Nick's stuff worked out for me.

It just needs to be made a little simpler, that's all I'm saying.

I need directions.  WHY have a goddam readme file at all, if you are going to skip steps in the readme that someone might need?

WTF is the point of the readme files at all?
