Mother 3?
« on: March 04, 2010, 02:40:15 pm »
Just wanted to ask whether Mother 3 with the fan translation patch works on either the Dingoo's native GBA emulator, or Dingux? I realize it probably does, but I wanted to check it wasn't one of those games that doesn't like working for some fun reason, since I'm mainly planning on getting a Dingoo just to play Mother 3 on.

And does Earthbound work? Again, I see no reason it wouldn't, just wanting to check.

Interesting... but for now I think I'll see how I get on with it running on the Dingoo, I need to play Earthbound too, so I'd need the Dingoo to run that on, plus there are a few other games I'd like to have on me if possible.

Thanks for the heads up Captain Obvious. Glad to hear that you have a GBA flash cart (that was the point wasn't it?).
Incidentally, I sold my GBA SP + flash cart to buy my Dingoo :p I did have to add a tenner to the pot, but the Dingoo is well worth the difference.

No i wasn't bragging, although to a kid like you affording both systems would seem like bragging.

I was just stating that GBA carts aren't expensive and it's relatively easy to put the flashed rom on the cart and have the experience of playing it on the console it was made for.

Do you really think we give a rat's butt that you sold your GBA?  No, because adults can afford both a GBA and a Dingoo without having to sell the other.  Go get a paper route and maybe you can afford both without having to complain about paying a VAT tax.

I still fail to see how this the original question, which is how to get Mother 3 working on the Dingoo, and I'll fail to catch your bait as well (since I fully agree with you that noone cares about my GBA sale, just like your flash cart possession).

Did anyone check if it's working in gpsp, although that kinda off topic as well since the question is about the official firmware? gpsp progressed nicely while official emulator updates are doubtful. I have to admit that although gpsp is nice, it's also far from perfect, but we can't ask too much.

Why would you, this is a discussion forum about the Dingoo, which is made for emulation. People don't come here to get tips on how to play games for their original systems, and being an arse about it after isn't helping. A lot of adults can't affor both a Dingoo and a GBA either, give the guy a break, he's just telling us that he even went as far to sell his other gaming gear just to get the Dingoo! ;)
