« on: April 19, 2011, 10:01:58 pm »
What the hell am i doing wrong? Im trying to play football champ. It apparently works, is in the games list. I start it up and nothing. Every game is the same. Is it the software? is it the game settings?

Havent got a clue but its hacking me off majorly.

You are probably using newer, incompatible rom versions. As it says in the included readme, MAME4ALL needs romsets that are compatible with MAME 0.37b5 (which is a MAME version from July 2000). I think some current versions of roms may still be compatible with 0.37b5.

If they aren't, or just to be sure, take the included clrmame.dat file and use clrmamepro to convert your newer roms. Also, be sure not change the name of the rom zip. Each zip needs to have it's designated name.

Just tried it. Same result just a black screen. Do configurations matter?

Dont understand it at all. I can get it running in dingux but its sluggish.

This is really getting on my nerves. From what ive read around the web this shouldnt be a problem.

Did you at least install mame4all, or you're simply expecting the .zip to run on dingoo without any change?

Well that gamelist is the supported games for that orignal MAME version, not necessarily MAME4ALL. And if I remember correctly there are many games that work on the Dingux version that don't work on Native, or vice versa (or maybe I'm thinking of the games that run out of memory on the native but don't on my A330 with 64MB of RAM in Dingux).

I tried the game you are talking about on the Dingux version at 420mhz with fast sound and no vsync and compared it to youtube videos. You are right, it's pretty sluggish.

Downloaded mame4all dingoo native version 1.0, put the files in the game directory, went to the appropriate app in 3d folder, chose the rom (a 0.37) and viola! Black screen. I dont know what the problem is.

I've found a few niggles with my dingoo too. i cant overclock to anything just below 390 as it crashes on both the native and dingux apps and games.

Also im not sure wether the settings of the rom need adjusting to get it to work, but i cant find that information.

Its seriously doing my head in now.
