DOOENGINE

Whoever released this one...good job, BUT...should set the default volume to 100 percent instead of 20%.  At 20 percent it seems, with most games, as if there is no sound whatsoever...even at 100 percent, it's still kinda quiet.

Just a thought if you wanted to work on it any more, something for the new release if there is to be one...would be changing the default volume.

Didn't mean to rush you or anything, Alekmaul!!

Actually, I'm damn glad you made DOOENGINE at all.  I couldn't find a subject for it, so I made this one.  It was just a thought for a new release, to make the default volume a bit louder.

Keep up all your great work, Alekmaul!

Incidentally, I know you could probably do, also...when you have time...the one item on my wish list, I posted about it...a Personal Organizer.

It would be most awesome.

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out this emulator. In which file type should my roms be? I know they're supposed to be renamed to .PCE but are they originally .ISO, .BIN or .ZIP files?

I already tried R-Type and Akumajou Dracula X Chi no Rondo and they're just not booting up. I assume I'm doing something wrong but I have no idea of what and why.

Just take a look at readme.txt file shipped with dooengine, it should help you  ;)
You can play r-type but not dracula, dooengine does not support cd rom (yet ...)

I guess they are a bin somewhere done the line, should not be too hard to find and .PCE

Interesting fact of the day :

The PC Engine CDRoms have no copy protection on them as when they came out CD writers where thousands or ?/$ (insert your currency here) and NEC thought no one would be able to purchase one !!

Oh gee, for some reason I assumed the PC Engine was an exclusively CD-ROM based system.
This only proves how little I know about the console, it's actually my first contact with it.

Its a great little system for its time.

1st version had credit card rom carts
Then came the 1st CD rom version with a 1x speed CD drive in fact it was the first thing to properly us a CD drive out side the audio world
Look up the PCE GT and the LT. The LT is very nice - a mini, DS type machine with fully res size screen, oh how I still want one of those..

I think the thing that i offered more than anything was a unified system and all the companies (other than nintendo) creating things for it.

When the emulation on Dingoo is 100% speed, check out all the shooters on the system there are some great ones (Gunhead, star solider, R-type 1/2, Super Star Solider, Croyoon, Gradius etc...)
