Non-Pawed Dingoo Testing Thread
« on: November 12, 2009, 03:23:05 pm »
Since my Dingoo has a paw mark, I want other people to test my releases to verify it works for them.
Other devs may use this thread if they want aswell for testing.

I've added support for XM/MOD/S3M in GooPlayer, and would like to have it tested :)
Go here to find the player and some music in different formats.

I just tried this on my non-paw Dingoo, and it worked great. All of the samples provided played without any issues.

I used to collect MODs back in the BBS days. I recognized "war-rem.s3m" very well. :)

Thanks

I will do a release as fast as the file archive updates the files.

I don't have a big collection, but I have some files (mainly of the type XM because I liked play around with FastTracker) which I have had for a very long time now :)

So testing time again ;)
I would like to test some memory related things (see this thread).

Please test:
GooPlayer-memtest.app
calloc_free_test.app
malloc_free_test.app

EDIT:
please also test GnuBoy (GB emulator)

GooPlayer-memtest.app = works fine, no freezing

calloc_free_test.app = "Done, Press A"
malloc_free_test.app = "Done, Press A"

GnuBoy (GB emulator) = freezes when attemping to load for a second time (same as previous version)

That means that the problem with GnuBoy is something else than forgetting to free normal memory allocations I guess.

Thanks for your tests!

No problem. Although it's not really a big deal since Gnuboy-Dingux works fine, I'd still like to see this bug stomped for good.

I just tried GooPlayer on my brand new Dingoo (pawed, I think) and it freezes when I launch it.
Actually, every homebrew app freezes the same way.
The other native games/emulators work well. The firmware if 1.2.
Anyboby's got the same problem ?

There is a new revision out there, it seems, in another thread somebody also said, that every homebrew freezes.
