Hullo ppl I'm new with the Dingoo, in fact I don't have a Dingoo yet (it's on it's way). I would love to make games for it, check my site: http://www.woltzmedia.com/ if anyone is coding for the Dingoo contact me! (only Native, cuz I won't install Dingux on it)

there's quite a few of us coders out there, but not many for the native os, as dingux is much easier, and can do much more :D

And you can later port your games to all the other opensource consoles (just my 2 cents :P)

+1 vote says you will, everyone does eventually

unless you're totally opposed to free software, which in that case  >:(

You may be right. I'm not saying ever. If I can't find the MAME and MSX2 emus for Native I may be force to.

:D looks like you've got to then, having the native system is nice an everything, but now that dingux can (almost-not quite gba/tvout yet) do everything native can, and more, it's nearly time to replace native altogether

if you've got game ideas/etc i'd be happy to do the coding (just nothing too complicated, low level programmer XD)

I think you could do a great job for the community by doing some nice icons for the games of the dingoo or by doing some nice themes! :)

Depends for what you want to make themes!  ;D
For native firmware, download a custom frimware and look around in the system folder.
Dingux: In gmenu2x it?s the skins folder, and for dmenu it should be themes iirc.

But i?d guess good artists are always wanted by homebrewers.  :)

gmenu2x? Dpong? err... I'll join a coder who need art, cuz I suck at coding. If anyone like what I can do add me and we may come up with something. Or if it is easy to do I could make them myself are there any tutorial around?

For gmenu2x the icons have to be a .png 32x32 pixels in size and named the same as the .dge executable file in the same folder. Some files don't have the .dge extension but the same rule applies. Wallpapers for it have to be 320x240 pixels. its really easy to make themes for it. now for helping make graphics for the games you'll have to talk to a coder and get the sizes for the sprites he needs and so on but i'm sure someone here will take you up on the graphics offer when they code their next game. A lot of people are porting programs over to improve dingux and using the existing graphics but eventually someone on here will make another game or mod one he already made.
