Hi all,

sorry for my bad english, I?m from Germany.

To my Problem:

I have buyed two Yinlips YDP G19-Handhelds from Willgoo. After I have updated (reboot-Firmware) one of this combo-package, the wifi don`t get on. The Wifi-Button jump from ON allone to OFF.

ADB CATLOG say can?t load Wifi.ko ..the complete path can I submit, if you want ;-)

How can I restore the old firmware? Can i Read-Back the Firmware from the other YDPG19? The G+MassProductionTool For GP330XX have the option Read and Write.

Have anybody a idea how can I find the complete Adressrange from Kernel etc..?

Please help, this two Yinlips are for my kids for Christmas...

thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Swen

My friend, did you back up the files before you root the device? We remind people to backup the files before they root the YDPG19 in the manual.

You can install the backup files to see if it can solve the problem on WiFi.

Hope your kids love these Christmas Gifts.

Thanks.

Hi Willgoo,

I didn`t have rooted the device before I have Upgraded the Firmware!?!
I have Backuped all Datas from the second Unit but this does not help me.

The Firmware (Reboot-Fix) from our site is OLDER as the Stock Firmware from my Units!?! Please provide me the Stockfirmware from Nov. 2012.

I have rooted yet the Units and have changed the wlan.ko from the working unit (Firmware from Nov.2012) to the Unit with our Firmware (Oct.2012).

The wifi works fine yet on both units, but the Firmware from one is older yet.
The wlan.ko is different from Oct.2012 (~500kb) to the Nov.2012-Stock-Image (750kb)....I think a new/other Wifi-Card is in the Units.

Best regards,

Swen Werner

i've the same problem...I installed the ydpg19-reboot firmware update and then i cannot set wi-fi to on...
All folders are empty in G19 after the update. (i mean .android_secure, Alarms, DCIM, ecc)

I tried putting the old files on the G19 via usb, but it doesn't change anything.

How can i go back?

We need the last Firmware ;-)

have you rooted the unit? Have you a second unit?

I have solution if the device is rooted, but this is not simple.....I think Willgoo must provide the Stock-Firmware from November and write a Exclamation-Text for the Download (Reboot-Fix) if the device buyed with Firmware from November 2012.

Best regards

No i haven't rooted mine, it will be necessary in order to fix this problem?
Yes i've got a second unit.
I hope he will, then :D

p.s.: is this what we need to do, if willgoo doesn't provide us stock firmware? http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/wiki/Howto:_Using_the_Recovery

Forget about porting Cyanogenmod to these generalPlus devices without any documentation at all.

i don't even know what cyanogenmod is :D
I meant to ask if it's needed (and possible) a factory reset, or if the only solution is a firmware provided by Willgoo.

2 solutionways:

Willgoo/Yinlips provide the last Firmware

Root both devices and copy the wlan.ko (2times/folders!) from the working device to the "bricked" device (with Permission rights)

Here a batch:
http://uploaded.net/file/1hd92jzf

Enable USB-Debuging in Settings / developer options and connect device with USB
Show in devicemanager if ADB-Device is installed correct..otherwise see google for ADB driver
start TPSparkyRoot.bat after extract

thats all

a Tip: Install after root, the App SuperSU from Market and start for one time..

Thank you very much :)
I'll wait tomorrow to see if Willgoo will provide us the firmware we need.
If he doesn't, i'll try installing adb drivers and then i'll try what you said!

I hope willgoo will release that firmware, because i would'nt want to brick both my YDPG19 trying to set superuser xD

In fact is Yinlips the one who should provide firmware rather tham willgoo, but yeah, someone should release a firm for this device.

The file that we got from Yinlips is for upgrade G19: http://www.willgoo.com/download/Yinlips-G19-reboot.rar

This upgrade file will help the problem on loading into G19.

For the firmware, I do not know which version you guys want exactly. The original firmware one?

Make sure you back up the system files when you do anything for G19.

We will call Yinlips for the firmware for G19 if it helps.

I will share you the latest news on it.

HI Willgoo,

we need the Firmware from 10.(?)November 2012. The Rebootfix-Firmware is from October 2012. The Wifi.Drivers are different:
Oct.2012 - ~500kb
Nov.2012 - ~750kb
(wlan.ko)

A Firmwarebackup can we not do...no tools for that available. We can only backup the Personal-Datas not the systemdatas.

Alternative:
You can Yinlips ask also to a Config-File for the "G+MassProductionTool For GP330XX" to read-back (no write). I have one Unit with the newest Firmware ;-)

Thanks & Best regards,

Swen

Thank you.
Like Feierprinz said, firmware cannot be backed up (or, at least, without tools we don't have).

I also suggest you to remove the upgrade link from the website.

Hi guys. There's another firmware available for a russian YDP-G19 clone named "Smarti Multi-touch".
http://smaggi.ru/files/gpl33003a.rar
I've no idea is this older or newer than the one from willgoo but it was added on November 6th and firmware.bin and updater.bin files size differs.

thank you black mage!
I'm afraid that it won't work, because firmware.bin of this package is 29.09.2012, so it's older than the "bricking firmware"...But i will surely try it :)
