Xiaomi Mi6 - Snapdragon 835
« on: October 15, 2017, 12:14:39 pm »
Was looking at the Xiaomi Mi6 , looks pretty good.  Snapdragon 835, 6GB Ram, 64GB storage, 3350mAh battery, dual 12MP camera etc.   Looks awesome. Some videos of it below.  Looks to run games very well.   I haven't seen anyone run Windows 10 games on it yet though.  Remembering that Windows 10 emulation being one of the things Snapdragon has been touting for the 835.

Just saw the Xiaomi Mi6 can be bought for $380 on Banggood with coupon code: 10BGMI664.

The MI6 is an Android device, I believe.  Microsoft is coming out with a Windows 10 port for the Snapdragon processor that does x86 emulation.

It is an Android phone running on the Snapdragon 835 which has been shown to run WIN 10 emulation pretty well.  Ive seen Halo Spartan running on it.  Thus my comment about WIN 10 games on it.   Will have to wait until someone gets the WIN 10 emulation running on it.

It's not Windows 10 emulation.  It is Windows 10 running on the Snapdragon.  These aren't Android devices running a Windows 10 emulator.  It is a Window 10 tablet or PC using the Snapdragon processor instead of the Intel.

Here are the guys demoing the x86 tech they've created:

It is emulation , watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSXUDKpkbx4&t=580s

It allows x86 WIN 10 and apps to run on ARM

Correct.  It allows x86 emulation in an ARM version of Windows 10.  Not an Android phone emulating Windows 10.  They are emulating the processor architecture, not the operating system.  These devices will run an ARM version of Windows 10 and the emulator will allow the Win32 (Intel processor version) of applications and games to run.

However... this is not a gaming phone. All the high-end devices should run games pretty well, but aren't not designed for it.
